Each month we plan to showcase an influencer from the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) arena to provide insight on how they are leading transformative change to help build a more sustainable future. Our guests will include leaders from both private and public companies, as well as social enterprises, impact investors, NGOs, and standard-setting organizations who are committed to getting it right as it relates to ESG. The main theme for our series will focus on how to create business value—by driving credible change, avoiding greenwashing, and “seeing around corners” to prepare for what is coming next in the rapidly evolving ESG field.
Please join us for our first episode focused on how companies and investors can distinguish between “ESG activities and true impact” with MoFo and BSR in discussion on the importance of building real business solutions that offer the biggest opportunities for meaningful change. We will discuss how companies can act holistically to create change, not just on their own but also by working with value chain partners, markets, policymakers, and systems—and how these ambitious or comprehensive approaches can achieve both more impact and more value for a company.
Note: Special guests will join the conversation each month.

M&A can be a tremendous tool for companies looking to adopt more resilient business strategies, but failing to account for the critical ESG elements can undermine success and lead to negative outcomes for business.
BSR President and CEO Aron Cramer discusses major themes shaping the year ahead: net zero, climate action and social justice, attention on ESG, board role redefinition, and the business voice on the "great fragmentation."
As Allbirds prepared its initial public offering (IPO), this led to the creation of the Sustainability Principles and Objectives Framework. BSR CEO Aron Cramer shares more about the framework.
The International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS) intends to consolidate the Value Reporting Foundation (VRF) and the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB). As ESG gains momentum and urgency, it is time to embed sustainability considerations in the basic functioning of the capital markets, which will only happen with universal disclosures that enable consistency.
