The authors conducted case studies in Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda, and reviewed findings from the HERproject pilot program in horticulture farms in Kenya.
The study findings indicate a number of opportunities to support women in the workforce more effectively in individual countries. In the final section of the report, we also share observations regarding risks and opportunities for companies sourcing from the region, related to women in the workforce, but with broader application to ethical sourcing.
